1. Scope of this policy

This Privacy Policy explains how MOVI processes personal data when you visit movi.lt, book a MOVI practice, course or seminar, pay for it, contact MOVI, or use other services described in this policy.

2. Controller and contact details

The controller is MOVI Practice, the MOVI movement-practice project operated by Justas Kučinskas.

3. Personal data we may process

Depending on how you use MOVI services, we may process the following categories of data:

• Website-use and technical data: IP address, browser, device and operating-system information, page views, technical logs, cookies and similar technologies.

• Booking and contact data: first name, last name, email address, telephone number, selected practice, course or seminar, date, and correspondence relating to the booking.

• Registration and participant-questionnaire data: motivation and expectations for participation, prior movement experience, age, how you heard about MOVI, and other responses clearly identified in the form.

• Optionally supplied health-related information: practical information about injuries, movement restrictions or circumstances that teachers should consider. Please do not provide diagnoses or excessive medical information.

• Payment and invoicing data: payment status and identifiers, company name, company registration number, VAT number, invoicing address and other information required to issue an invoice. MOVI does not receive or store full payment-card data.

• Communication and newsletter data: the content of your message and contact details; if you subscribe to a newsletter in the future, your email address and a record of consent.

4. Why and on what basis we process data

We process data only to the extent needed for a specific purpose.

• To operate, secure and troubleshoot the website – on the basis of MOVI’s legitimate interest in maintaining a secure, functioning website.

• To administer a booking, provide the service, send confirmations and communicate about the booking – to take steps toward and perform a contract.

• To organise a course or practice and enable teachers to prepare – to perform the contract and on MOVI’s legitimate interest in safely and properly organising the service.

• For optionally supplied information about injuries, restrictions or other health matters – only with your explicit consent under Article 9(2)(a) GDPR. You may withdraw consent at any time; withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out before it. If the booking form does not show a clear separate consent for this processing, do not enter such information in the field and contact MOVI directly.

• For payments, invoices and accounting – to perform the contract and comply with MOVI’s applicable accounting and tax obligations.

• To handle enquiries and complaints – to perform a contract, pursue a legitimate interest in responding to an enquiry, or comply with a legal obligation, depending on the enquiry.

• For newsletters and other direct marketing – only with your separate consent. No active public newsletter-signup form was found on this website on the date this policy was updated. If one is added, you may withdraw consent at any time through the unsubscribe link in every email or by contacting MOVI.

MOVI does not make decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects on you.

5. Bookings through Acuity Scheduling

Bookings are made through Acuity Scheduling, a Squarespace Scheduling service. Acuity processes the contact, selected-service, date and form-response data necessary for bookings on MOVI’s behalf. The booking flow also uses Google reCAPTCHA to protect against automated and abusive requests.

When you book the Movement Foundations course, the form currently asks you to acknowledge a participant health agreement and provides a short participant questionnaire. The responses are used only to prepare and run the course more safely; they are not medical advice or a diagnosis.

6. Payments, invoices and accounting

Payments for bookings are processed by Stripe through the Acuity payment flow used by MOVI. Stripe operates under its own privacy rules and security measures; MOVI does not receive your full card number or CVC.

We use payment information to confirm the booking and issue an invoice. An issued invoice may be sent automatically to the purchaser and provided to MOVI’s accounting service provider. This uses a MOVI-controlled Google Apps Script automation and Google Workspace email infrastructure.

7. Squarespace, forms and other service providers

The MOVI website and certain related functions are provided through Squarespace. If a Squarespace form is shown on the site, we use the information entered into it only for the purpose clearly stated on that form.

Depending on the service, the following categories of recipients may process data:

• authorised MOVI staff and teachers who need the data for their duties;

• Squarespace and Acuity Scheduling, for website, form and booking infrastructure;

• Stripe, for payments;

• Google, for Google Maps, reCAPTCHA, and MOVI’s automations and email infrastructure;

• accounting-service providers, for invoices and legally required accounting;

• competent authorities or professional advisers where required by law or necessary to protect MOVI’s rights.

MOVI gives access only to the extent needed to provide the relevant service or meet a legal obligation. External Instagram and Facebook links are links only; after you select them, your relationship with those platforms is governed by their privacy policies.

8. International transfers

Some service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. In such cases, MOVI relies on applicable lawful transfer mechanisms, such as a European Commission adequacy decision, standard contractual clauses or other safeguards under Chapter V GDPR. You can request further information from MOVI.

9. How long we retain data

We do not retain personal data longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was collected:

• booking and communication data, for the duration of the service and afterwards only as needed to resolve enquiries, disputes or legal claims;

• optionally supplied health-related responses, only for as long as needed to prepare and run the specific practice or course safely; they are then deleted or anonymised unless another lawful basis requires longer retention;

• payment and invoice data, for the period required by applicable accounting and tax legislation;

• newsletter data, until you withdraw consent;

• technical logs and analytics data, according to the relevant provider’s retention settings and no longer than necessary for the stated purposes.

10. Cookies, maps and analytics

The site uses necessary Squarespace cookies to support its operation and security. Squarespace Activity Log is enabled. No separate Google Analytics tag was identified in the active public site source, but the site includes a Google Maps block and the Acuity booking flow uses Google reCAPTCHA.

On the date this policy was updated, the Squarespace cookie banner is disabled and non-essential cookies are not restricted. A privacy policy is not itself consent to cookies. Before continuing to use non-essential cookies or third-party content for which consent is required by applicable law, MOVI must enable a working consent mechanism and restrict those cookies until consent is obtained. Until then, visitors can manage or delete cookies through their browser settings.

11. Your rights

You may request access to, rectification or erasure of your data, restriction of processing, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and, where applicable, receive data in a portable format. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time. These rights are not absolute and applicable law may limit them in some circumstances.

12. Updates to this policy

We may update this policy when MOVI services, processing practices or legal requirements change. The current version will be published on this page with its update date. Before MOVI begins online sales of physical goods, we will update this policy to cover the processing of order, delivery and returns data.
